This house turned into one of the most memorable vacations for my family from Portland, Oregon. It took a bit of extra planning and preparation than the usual vacation home, but this is not the usual vacation home. The owners put a lot of thought into the design and layout. As a result the views of the sound are amazing.

Fantastic vacation with friends and family...high-end, lovely modern home right on the beach with all the amenities you could want. Bedroom area is separate from the living area, which is great because the kids could play in the big bunk room (or the beach) while the adults were in the gorgeous living area. 5 stars, highly recommend, will be back!

Gem of a property with beachfront access and spectacular panoramic views from the floor to ceiling windows. We will definitely return.
This was our second visit to hat island and stay at this property. The location, design and floor plan of this house make it the perfect place for a unique experience in the Pacific Northwest...during low tide you can walk all the way around the entire island which is not the easiest walk but is an amazing adventure. We saw a gray whale right off the beach, sand shrimp, seals and a bald eagle. It seems almost unbelievable that a place like this can exist so close to the city but that you can come visit it for a weekend. Highly recommend!

Hat Island is indeed a special place and this modern house is luxurious, especially the portion of the house that is the great room. My kids loved all the games and legos. The walks on the private beach were serene. Plenty of drift wood to build a fort with your children. We had brunch and dinner on the deck everyday with a breathtaking view of the water and Whidbey Island. We actually witnessed a bald eagle dive down and catch fish.
